The New Zealand trap DJ and producer, Quix, has released his newest single “Giving Up”. The song utilizes his iconic, slow builds into a drop that’s an absolute heater. The first drop is a classic festival banger, ready to get people dancing and not too intense for any audience. On the second he really switches it up, going with a harder and heavier drop for any headbanger who needs his daily dose of the bass.

Easily one of the most intriguing traits about Quix is his use of unique drops within songs rather than just repeating full-length sequences. The song got a vocal treatment from Jaden Michaels, who absolutely killed it on the chorus. Highly recommend giving this track, releases through Dim Mak records, a listen.

Check out Quix’s collab with Vincent, another member of the Cardinal Artists Collective, here! Also, see what Quix had to say about the new track below.

“I believe I wrote about 5 different drops for this track, some of them were cool but not fitting for this vocal and overall feel of the song… I especially wanted this track to be remembered with for having a powerful first drop and a hard second drop. in the end, I’m very happy with how this came out and can’t wait for you to hear the rest of the ‘illusions EP'”
