Monxx‘s collab with Walter Wilde, “The Wonky Song“, is a headbanger favorite and has gotten the remix treatment in the past from Excision & Dion Timmer, Subtronics, and Gommi. Today, the British riddim producer reimagines what his hit would sound like if Virtual Riot remixed it–therefore titled “Virtual Wonk“. Using samples from Virtual Riot’s Splice pack released earlier this year, Monxx somehow turns the original into an even larger forest fire of a heater.
The buildup is epic AF and honestly sounds like it’s out of Harry Potter or an old Horror movie, providing the perfect background for the tracks chilling vocals. The drop is filled with Virtual Riot staple sounds, and I’m sure Monxx had a lot of fun transforming his own track into an even heavier, creepier, monster hit. Grab the download here.
