Steve Aoki was once an adventurous, energetic DJ who tore through venues with the mantra “I’ll sleep when I’m dead,” but now he has elevated himself through music once again by pushing boundaries, lining up unbelievable collabs and releasing his album Neon Future III. The album cover shows another take on the masked robot Aoki like his previous two albums, this time with a blue sky background. This album is set to be the last in his Neon Future trilogy, and it might even be the best.

This album is literally jammed with collabs on every song. Some include Kpop band BTS, rapper Lil Yachty, Disney star Bella Thorne, Country group Lady Antebellum, Rock band Blink-182, massive K-Pop group BTS, and even Bill Nye, the science guy. It also features some of his releases from earlier this year such as “Just Hold On” with Louis Tomlinson, “Be Somebody” with Kiiara and Nicky Romero, and “All Night” featuring Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui.

My personal favorite is actually “Noble Gas” with Bill Nye. It is a high energy dance song that provides the perfect closing beats for this album. Bill Nye’s voice is distorted into the background of the song as he explains scientific discoveries and the noble gases which link back to Aoki’s Neon Future and fascination with space.

Listen below for the Aoki insanity.
