Last weekend, Bassnectar blessed fans across the globe with a brand new mixtape and a killer visual pairing watch-party. Although a bit glitchy, Bassnectar followed the stream with the news that he’ll be releasing two singles off of his upcoming album “All Colors”, and marks Bassnectar’s first full-length project since his 2016 album, “Unlimited”.
Out today from Nectar is Bass Remedy‘s remix of “Empathy” and his new collab with British MC Rodney P, “Nice and Easy”. Both tunes appeared on Nectar’s first edition of his Lockdown Mixtape series, “Inside For The People”.
This “Empathy” remix has been highly coveted within the Bassnectar community and fans across the world are ecstatic to see it’s release. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this track will directly affect Bassnectar’s BeInteractive charity and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
“Nice and Easy” was debuted in Nectar’s Okeechobee set, back in early March. This set, unfortunately, will go down as Bassnectar’s only performance of 2020. The grime inspired tune features two unique neck-breaking drops with Rodney P’s lyrical vengeance overtop the pounding bass.
Bassnectar’s second volume of his Lockdown Mixtapes is slated for a May 22nd release and will feature three more tunes from the upcoming “All Colors” Summer album. Volume two will be titled “Sound In Motion” and, according to the big man himself, it will feature “as many edits, flips, and custom cuts as possible”. “All Colors” is slated to drop in June.
