Dallas-based producer chromonicci is back! His signature Trap stylings return today with his new single ‘Nono.’, released on the Bonsai Collective label.
The track is intoxicating, reminding listeners of classic freestyle Trap beats that will have everyone spitting a few bars, regardless of lyrical skill level. It’s also a veering off from some of the more classic Chillhop and Lo-Fi productions we’re used to from chromonicci.
This beat boasts glitchy vocal breakdowns, wompy undertones, and steady yet slightly off-kilter bass, that will create a paradise for both casual listeners and maybe even some up-and-coming rappers. It’s an infectious journey into the mind of chromonicci and seemingly impossible not to vibe to.
“Nono.” has an absence of lyrics, but there’s something special about a track that can grab attention without the use of the conventional EDM track model of build-up, vocals, drop, repeat. The self described ‘nicci bounce’ track, gets the listener bopping with its fluctuating bass, regardless of its lack of words to sing along to.
