SUAHN is back with another bass-heavy, chaotically thumping track that is sure to tingle your eardrums. This Baltimore-based artist has been slaying the bass scene with his distorted beats. His EP released on WAKAAN with Guilt Chip entitled “Absolute Ruin” is a delicious taste of ambient and anticipatory builds with well-crafted and glitchy bass melodies, and after recent releases on JADU DALA and SATURATE!, he is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
His first full A/V set was released on BOOMBOX CARTEL’s CINCO MODE 2021 and delivered an impressively technical performance, featuring engaging black and white strobe visuals with a pounding bass background. This set stood out from others as an experience paralleled to a live performance, while the industry was still getting back on its feet. Imagining this sort of immerse and dazzling set at a live show only hypes us up more and more for this promising producer’s future.
“HARDWIRED!” features a blend of vintage analog synths and drum machines producing a unique take on classic electronic musical techniques. It’s gritty and pounding, with a smoothness that you only find in top-notch production. Beautifully combining the human touch with these techniques, this track is sure to be featured in many festival sets this summer. The song closes with a threatening rattle, a warning for more heaters to come from the moody and dark producer.
