Embark On An Astral Adventure With Audiovoid’s New Album “Down With It”

Audiovoid’s latest release, “Down With It,” is turning heads in the bass music scene. This collection pushes electronic music to its limits, delivering breathtaking sound design, lush synth textures, and melodies that resonate with epic bass lines and psychedelic undertones. Audiovoid‘s soundscape has been complimented and admired by electronic artists Tipper, Si Begg & Brendan Angelides (ESKMO / Welder).

Born in Hungary and later settling in Hollywood, Audiovoid’s journey began in 1998, diving into the West Coast bass scene by 2005. With his progressive bass style and intricate soundscape, he is often compared to heady producers like Truth, Eprom, and Andy Page. Audiovoid’s work has been showcased on renowned labels such as IOT Records, Addictech, Cyberset, Psyber Tribe, Mechanisms, and the esteemed Muti Music.

Returning in 2024, Audiovoid dropped three tunes, Astral, Starlight, andAll Mixed Up”, a sneak peek of what will come with his new progressive bass album “Down With It”. So far, the most ear-catching is track seven, “Astral”. A trippy, windy synth sets the stage, paired with a lyrical interlude that catapults listeners into a gravity-defying bassline. This track alludes to the recurring theme in the album: an exploration of the psychedelic and mystical realms.

Audiovoid orchestrates a complex auditory jam with track four “Body and Mind”. This extraterrestrial hit starts with an alien-like electric shortage synth punctuated by a crisp hi-hat that leads to a smashing bassline. Distorted Decepticon-sounding synths collide with a siren woman’s voice, creating a surreal and unpredictable soundscape. An Allen Watts sample is weaved into the hit, providing a reflective, cerebral undertone. A ringing, wavering chime pans across the stereo field, present at both the start and the conclusion of the piece, giving the track a cohesive feel.

Amidst layers and layers of blaring bass and electronic adlibs, Audiovoid demonstrates his dynamic production style in the tracks “Dreaming” and “Only Ever This Moment”. These fluid tracks offer a refreshing bass break, conveying a more psychedelic bass production and the recurring theme of mystical exploration.

Track six, Colors”, in Audiovoid’s new album “Down With It”  spares no feelings when the first ripping bassline rolls in. It destroys any soft feelings you had with the Tipper-esque heady intro. A touch of melodic vocals enhances “Colors”‘ depth, weaving a euphoric and angelic feeling into the hard-hitting bass track.
