Twopercent and shmani are two budding rising stars that we’ve had on our radar for a minute here at HIHF. Both artists are carving out a name for themselves in the ever-evolving world of bass music and we all need to take note.
Twopercent has found a home for himself in the Denver dubstep scene. Ahead of supporting TVBOO on his nationwide tour, he’s put out so many brilliant, ground-shattering original releases and remixes over the past few years. He’s played premiere dubstep festivals like Lost Lands, Forbidden Kingdom, and Bass Canyon and has collabed with fellow burgeoning bass names like Gorilla T and Ozztin.
shmani has also attracted tons of attention through her unforgiving and unique originals. The ultra-talented producer, DJ, and vocalist has also worked with extremely exciting names in the bass music world like Dani Thorne AKA Com3t, SubDocta, and So Sus. She has also become a mainstay of AHEE’s label ZOF records.
On their new collaborative tune, “Made Of,” the two are bringing us a collision course made up of each artist’s individual sounds. Featuring an atmospheric topline from shmani that leads into hard-hitting bass eruption, this one is going straight onto our festival playlist. “Made Of” is out now through Liquid Stranger‘s iconic WAKAAN label. Here’s what Twopercent had to say about the new banger:
“‘Made Of’ is a very special song to me. I’ve always wanted to really incorporate original vocals into my tracks and Shmani was the perfect fit. It’s definitely one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made and I think that the way it progresses is beautiful. Shmani’s project has always stood out to me, so to have her on this one is really special. I hope everyone likes this flowy, bass heavy yet bittersweet song.” – Twopercent
