Tape B and Effin’s new single “I’ll Never Know” has listeners mesmerized by its blend of funky bass and vintage soul. The new single will debut on Tape B’s upcoming album, Ghost in Static, releasing on October 2nd. It’s been about a year since Effin and Tape B came together to create “Ups and Downs”, which was just the beginning of the unique sounds both artists brought into their new single.
Both Tape B and Effin have been on yet another roll this past summer, performing at festivals such as Sacred Acre, Electric Forest, Elements, as well as bringing in deep bass flips when Effin opened for the Tape B and Levity’s Summer Program tour at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in my home state of Montana. After leaving crowds wanting more, Effin and Tape B dropped “I’ll Never Know” on September 11th. The unique twists and turns throughout the track show just how much both artists have creatively grown their projects into something limitless.
Tape B’s old school deep bass uniting with Effin’s vintage soundscapes successfully creates a drippy psychedelic feeling in “I’ll Never Know” which is guaranteed to boost listeners confidence. This track is ridiculously groovy, putting listeners on a dreamy path of creative enchantment.

“This marks our 3rd collaboration since early 2025 and it has been awesome to work on so much music with Effin. Our styles work really well together and it makes the workflow very seamless. After the success of Ups and Downs and our Back to Back flip, we thought it was time for another original. This track has been a highlight of my recent tour sets and it’s a perfect fit for my album.
