Chet Porter is not only back, but finding his groove after what appeared to be a few years-long hiatus. Whether the hiatus was intentional or not, we are thrilled to see the Canadian producer putting out heart-tugging tunes again. In the meantime, Chet Porter spent some of his time supporting his friends and other dance music heavyweights such as Odesza, Louis The Child, Jai Wolf, Alison Wonderland, and more. Alison Wonderland, on the other hand, has spent the last year riding the waves off of her sophomore album, Awake, as well as some collaborations with friends like Dillon Francis and Quix. This Aussie gal’s talent doesn’t stop at producer though; she is a master behind the decks, sings like an angel, and can also play a mean cello solo.
Today, the talented duo team up for an evocative and melancholy anthem that makes you feel like you’re cruising down some backroads in a 1989 Trans Am, “Bummed”. The track features both Alison Wonderland and Chet Porter’s vocals that bring a mellow reminiscence of the ‘80s iconic Synth-Pop sound. “Bummed” is an eccentric tune amidst the “faster and harder” rage-culture that EDM can gravitate towards.
Take a moment to melt into your nostalgia and listen to Chet Porter and Alison Wonderland’s “Bummed” below and let us know what you think!
