BroMosapien is one of the most talented rising stars in the underground bass scene crafting brilliant dubstep soundscapes. The Carolina-based producer has released on some seriously esteemed labels for an artist his size, including Subtronics’ Cyclops Recordings, Mersiv’s MorFlo Records, Wubaholics, and more.
He’s also collaborated with some of the most exciting fellow up-and-comers, ranging from NotLö to Illanthropy to GRGLY, and has provided filthy remixes in the past for HIHF guest mix alumni and dubstep phenoms Ravenscoon and Meduso. He’s well known for tackling any sub-genre he chooses, certain to concoct some dubious magic on any and every style of electronic bass music he chooses to imprint his sound upon.
Today, Heard It Here First is linking up with BroMosapien for a brand new premiere of a track off his forthcoming New Horizons EP. “That One Song…” features a beatbox intro that melts into the intricate, crunchy frequencies we know and love from funky bass producers. Giving a sort of Tipper, Jade Cicada, glitch-hop slash halftime vibe, this track is absolutely mental.
Giving fans a glimpse into his New Horizons EP a day early, this tune is another unique and boisterous addition to BroMosapien’s quickly growing artillery of bass-head-friendly bangers.
Here’s what BroMosapien had to say about “That One Song…:”
“This tune is an ode to anyone who has ever had friends requesting songs but they never actually know the name of the tune. I got to have some fun with this one & record my own vocals & make one of the craziest glitch-hop beats I have ever made. The sound design in this tune is easily some of my favorite I have created yet & every time I have played this one out live, the crowd absolutely loses it! So happy to have this one out in the world for everyone else to bug their friends to play “That One Song…” – BroMosapien
