Sound Haven 2025 was one for the books, and MYTHM delivered one of the most memorable sets of the weekend, bridging the gap between deep 140 dubstep and heavy riddim-style dubstep, which ignited an insane level of energy in the crowd. We’ve been MYTHM stans for a minute here at HIHF, so we are ecstatic to dive deep into his project today.
Mikey Miele, the Canadian producer behind MYTHM, launched his project in 2019 and has been a trailblazing force in the 140 deep dubstep genre explosion. He also expanded his project by producing some insane riddim heaters, which we have been loving! His project has cultivated a massive following of fans obsessed with his dark and hypnotic dubstep tracks, and his masterful production skills have established his name across the bass music community. After debuting his riddim side to his MYTHM project, he embarked on a tour this past year dubbed “The MYDDM Tour,” where he showcased several unreleased collabs with artists such as Aweminus, Infekt, Jiqui, and other rising names in the scene.
MYTHM has played at festivals such as Shambhala, Lost Lands, Lightning in a Bottle, and has shared the stage with electronic music phenoms such as Caspa andSVDDEN DEATH. He’s also received support from some of the most iconic names in dubstep history – Mala, Coki, N-Type, J:Kenzo, Caspa, of course, and more. MYTHM’s tracks have heavy influence from UK dubstep, and he has captured the essence of old school 140, especially in his recent collab with Caspa titled “Real Talk.” With releases on iconic labels such as Deadbeats and Deep, Dark, & Dangerous, MYTHM has earned widespread recognition in the bass music world and continues to keep his fans hooked on his genre-blending stylings.
MYTHM’s Sound Haven set was truly unforgettable, as he threw down with his signature deep 140 but also surprised us with riddim that left the crowd eager for more. You won’t hear much riddim at Sound Haven, so his set was a rare treat and highlight of the weekend for many attendees. The Planetary stage’s Element-5 sound systems were the perfect fit for MYTHM’s performance, giving us profound waves of bass that elevated the energy across the festival.
We had the honor to sit down with MYTHM at Sound Haven for an exclusive HIHF interview to chat about his evolution as an artist, influences outside of EDM, & more exciting news for his project. Enjoy!
Be sure to show MYTHM some love on socials as well!
