Festival season is quickly approaching, and this year Lightning in a Bottle Music and Arts Festival has wowed fans with a massive lineup including Tipper, Labrinth, Skrillex, James Blake, Lane 8, CloZee, and so many more. Returning to Buena Vista Lake in Bradley, CA, the festival will again take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 22nd to May 27th 2024. It features seven stages and spans multiple genres, with half of those stages still yet to announce their lineups.

This festival is always a stellar representation of the depths that electronic music discovery has to offer and that’s exactly what we see here once again with LiB’s 2024 lineup.

This first-round announcement from the DoLab team absolutely explodes out of the gate, featuring a massive wave of legendary artists and rising stars alike. The undercard boasts HIHF favorites like Nia Archives, Of The Trees, Barclay Crenshaw, Maddy O’Neal, OAKK, Rohaan, and Dela Moon, with more acts to come in their phase two announcement. Grab your tickets here and let’s break down a couple of our highest anticipated acts of the festival together:

Tipper

Tipper is the premiere name in the experimental bass music realm. The legendary DJ, producer, and tastemaker announced in early February that his story is coming to its conclusion and stated via social media “After spending the better part of my life touring and playing shows, I feel like it’s time to stop”. While showing his gratitude to fans and even releasing a new track dubbed “Preparations for Departure”, Tipper has officially announced he’ll be hanging it up in 2025. That being said, each opportunity to see this absolute master of his craft in 2024 is a blessing, so don’t miss out on his headlining LiB performance!

Skrillex

Skrillex promised fans four albums in 2023, but only delivered two, Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close. Even though we were hoping for more music, those two albums were amongst the most exciting releases of the year and we’ve still got many of the tracks on repeat over a year later.

Since then, Skrillex has teased over fifty unreleased works, both in his performances and on his social media, flaunting upcoming collaborations with the likes of Alison Wonderland, G Jones, Hamdi and ISOxo. We can’t wait for this electronic music kingpin to grace Lightning in a Bottle festival, you can be sure to catch him dropping dozens of those aforementioned unreleased bangers upon the masses during his headlining set.

ISOxo

Fresh off the heels of the wildly successful kidsgonemad! tour and album of the same name, ISOxo is taking the EDM world by storm. Flawlessly mixing progressive house, hybrid trap, and bass house across his releases and performances, the rise of ISOxo is something that needs to be studied in musical history textbooks.

He’s worked tons with RL Grime’s Sable Valley label and has collaborated with the Electronic Trap icon on multiple tracks. He even has multiple unreleased IDs with Skrillex in his vault. He also collaborated with G Jones for “Say What” and collaborated with PEEKABOO for “Powermove,” both of which are absolute festival weapons. His b2b performances alongside close friend and collaborator Knock2 have been renowned across the EDM world and we are just waiting for ISOxo to explode on an even more global level. You won’t want to miss his LiB set.

CloZee

If you frequent our site and aren’t already hip to CloZee, we don’t know what to tell you. She has been EVERYWHERE the past few years. The French nature bass maestra has taken the dubstep scene by storm, elevating to headline status and sharing her otherworldly beats across the U.S. at iconic venues and festivals.

Her label Odyzey Records has hosted some of the hottest up-and-comers in the scene and she recently announced her collaborative project with LSDream, LSZee, set to debut at Backwoods Festival in Arkansas. With tons on the horizon, her Lightning in a Bottle set is officially CAN’T MISS!

Skream (Dubstep Set)

Although he’s created electronic music in many different subgenres, Skream is well known as one of the founding fathers of dubstep. Iconic tracks by him like“Midnight Request Line” and “Filth” have served as OG dubstep anthems certified across the scene. Over the past few years, Skream has been blessing fans at festivals around the world with classic Skream dubstep sets at Okeechobee and is even performing a rare b2b set with fellow dubstep legend Benga at Coachella. He’s also opening up for Zeds Dead at their debut performance at the iconic Hampton Coliseum in Virginia Beach. Do not miss his LiB set, seeing Skream is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
