Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion team up for their first-ever collaboration, “Waves,” which features vocals from the talented singer/songwriter DeathbyRomy. Both Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion have been staples of the dubstep world for years, and have been actively releasing chart-topping anthems consistently during this time period. DeathbyRomy pours an intensity of emotion into her songs and is a master at combining personal, vulnerable lyrics with catchy and memorable melodies. She has been on fire lately and is going on a thirty-three-date tour this spring. Zeds Dead premiered this new collaborative track at their Electric Forest headline last year, and “Waves” has been highly anticipated and requested since then. 

Today, we finally get the monster collab’s official release. “Waves” was released through both Zeds Dead’s imprint, Deadbeats. and Flux Pavilion’s Circus Records. The Deadbeats label always strives to put creativity first and puts on a diverse roster of talented artists like Chee, IMANU, Peekaboo, Sippy, and many more producers who are leaders in the space. Deadbeats grounds their message in the community as well, and their events at Red Rocks and other iconic venues have become extremely popular fan favorites in the American dubstep scene. 

Circus has also been a booming hub of iconic bass music releases for over a decade. The label blew up after labelheads Doctor P and Flux Pavilion took the dubstep world by storm, with tons of compilations highlighting the best and brightest in the scene, and featuring breakout acts like Funtcase, Cookie Monsta, and Koven.

“Waves” is an emotional record that holds both Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion’s signature heavy-hitting production stylings. The intro is melancholy and calm, but the track has a cinematic build that steadily heightens the energy of “Waves” into an anthemic and powerful chorus of sound.

Zeds Dead, Flux Pavilion, and DeathbyRomy are currently on tour and are hitting cities like Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, Hampton, and many more.
