Heard It Here First

Channeling the mesmerizing natural brilliance of lightning and the sonic force of thunder, the electronic storm birthed by the combination of LSDream and CloZee, LSZEE, is finally unveiling their first musical pieces to the masses, “FRENCH DREAM” and “CHRYSALIS.”  Both tracks are set to appear on their fall-slated debut album. Since news of their joint project along with their debut Electric Forest performance hit the airwaves back in December, fans have eagerly awaited the fusion of their unique craftsmanship. Much to our auditory pleasure, that day has finally arrived!

This year has unified some of the most unexpected and monstrous electronic collaborations that have shaken the EDM world to its core and LSZEE is no exception. Both artists have earned their claim to the bass music throne through years of masterful production, exhilarating live performances, and intoxicating releases. In 2021, LSDream and CloZee combined forces for their first b2b set at Summer Camp Music Festival and shortly after the LSZEE dream slowly became a reality. Fast forward to today, we are now just a few weeks away from their official debut. For those of you unable to attend this year’s Electric Forest, LSZEE will also be headlining a two-night event at Red Rocks, as well as Bass Canyon and Northcoast Festival. 

LSZEE offers us the first look into their enchanting realm of sound on their first release “FRENCH DREAM”. LSZEE’s fusion of production elements blends together perfectly, resulting in a new spine-tingling audio odyssey. “FRENCH DREAM” utilizes an arsenal of hypnotic synths, wonky bass tones, and groovy instrumentalism to turn “FRENCH DREAM” into a funky thrill ride worthy of any bass music enthusiast’s playlists.

“CHRYSALIS” invites listeners to embark on a melodious desert journey by borrowing the mesmerizing sounds of the didgeridoo and the ney perfectly adapted to amplify this track’s allure. LSZEE harmonizes both instruments with their unique brand of sub-pounding reverb and experimental synths giving new life to the eternal instrumental sounds found. The entire four-minute piece is filled to the brim with the most infectious parts of both LSDream and CloZee’s respective production prowess. This is one of those tracks created to have crowds locked under their sonic spell in a field of festival-goers.

“FRENCH DREAM” and “CHRYSALIS” give fans just a small tease of what is to come from the upcoming LSZEE twenty-plus-track September album and from what we can hear, the future seems very bright for this collaborative project.

With their three headline performances coming up quickly, LSZEE is guaranteed to become an automatic festival fan-favorite. “Back in 2022 we did a studio trip in Joshua Tree to work on a few collabs.  We tapped into the most abundant creative spark, and the music just started flowing. We kept writing more and more songs, exploring new ideas that inspired us, and having the best time, being in awe of each others creativity.

We always vibed with each other and did shows together. We did a B2B once before and loved being stage together, so as our song pile kept growing, we started dreaming about a world where we could create a project together, take all our songs, weave them into a live performance, and share our vision. THAT DREAM IS ABOUT TO UNFOLD!

This body of work, about 20 collabs is what the LSZEE live show is built around. The 90 minute set is mostly this original music, and of course a few tunes from the homies. You won’t hear that many songs from our personal catalog, but we did do some LSZEE remixes for some of our favorites!!! We are very excited to pull up to Electric Forest, Northcoast, Bass Canyon, and Red Rocks to finally share all this with you!!”
