Ominous meets mischievous in the unstoppable duo EAZYBAKED’s new single, “No,” out now on Memory Palace.
Known for their inventive beat-making and infectious energy on and off the decks, this Florida-based pair is taking the electronic bass world by storm. Their explorative artistry and trailblazing sound design have resonated in the minds of many, landing them a certified spot in the festival circuit and dance music scene. Along with their other popular experimental anthems, their mind-numbing hit, “Certified,” has been played out by production masterminds and EDM visionaries, Zeds Dead, Of The Trees, Barclay Crenshaw, NGHTMRE, and SLANDER.
Causing a ruckus since childhood, Eric and Andrew formed EAZYBAKED from separate aliases, “MR. BAKED” and “EAZY,” after sharpening their musical craft together for years. Their natural chemistry and genuine dedication have landed them performances at prominent venues and events such as EDC Orlando, Electric Forest, and Red Rocks, just to name a few. The two peas in a pod are also celebrating their biggest headline in a week with back-to-back shows and a stacked lineup at the scenic Mishawaka Amphitheater tucked back in the mountains of Colorado.
Entering uncharted territory, “No” blends obscure breakbeats and stabbing bass with danceable rhythms that land listeners on a cryptic planet of the unknown. “Same old questions, same old answers,” calls out a menacing voice over the build-up that gets us lost in introspection and prepared for the mind-bending drops.
The refreshing tune has been highly anticipated since the duo teased it in their scorching hot mix, BAKED GOODS VOL. 1. As the vocal samples from Player Dave and Jawnza say, the new track will have listeners literally thinking they’re in a rocket ship. EAZYBAKED has shown time and time again their ability to push boundaries with unique soundscapes and stimulating textures that tickle the brain and resonate with the soul.
It’s been an adventure watching these young legends soar, establishing themselves as influential producers in the community. We can’t think of a better fit for Memory Palace, Of The Trees’ esteemed label that celebrates limitless artistic expression. The superlunary of bass music took to Twitter to express his admiration for the EAZYBAKED boys and the new release. Check out that Tweet from Of The Trees here.
If you haven’t listened, prepare to be drenched in rippling bass and blasted through a wormhole of gratifying distortion. Here’s what the pair had to say about their thrilling new creation:
“We want you to feel like you’ve committed a crime when you listen to this. Think “DO NOT ENTER” vibes. The closer you get to the end, the harder it is to walk away. Get ready for the most unsettling track on the EP. We sampled Andrew’s daughter for the “NO,” and got the HD acapella from our boys Player Dave and Jawnza for the “Think I’m in a rocket ship/Mama said I got this shit.” – EAZYBAKED
