2024 was a colossal year for dance music. We celebrated the return of Justice and their album Hyperdrama, Charli XCX brought her iconic synth-fueled sounds to the masses for a Brat summer, and dubstep heavyweights Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH gave the world their unforgettable riddim showcase of MELLODEATH.
Fred Again.. continued his domination of the dance music mainstream, headlining Bonnaroo’s coveted Sunday Night closing set and dropping his highly anticipated Ten Days collab album, which featured team-ups with Skrillex, Four Tet, Anderson. Paak, Sampha, and many more talented artists across genre lines.

Speaking of Skrillex, the legendary dubstep icon released a slew of impressive singles in 2024. He recently opened up on Twitter to share there’s more music on the way and fans may even see the return of his renowned OWSLA label.
Here at HIHF, we had the chance to interview artists who are currently crushing it like The Disco Biscuits, Distinct Motive, Eggy, Crawdad Sniper, Phyphr, and Vincent Antone, and covered hundreds of tracks throughout the year on our website and social media pages.
We also add new members to the HIHF guest mix family, with 2024 guest mixes from Maddy O’Neal, Don Jamal, EOS, Ghost Lotus, Brux, AK Renny, and more.

Today, our team of writers across the country put together our hundred favorite tracks of the year, ranging from experimental to DnB to riddim-style dubstep to UKG to downtempo.
