Canadian dubstep producers Wraz and MYTHM are already making out for an incredible 2025 for bass music. Individually, these artists have released an arsenal of originals, gaining tons of traction across the dubstep world. MYTHM’s most recent tune, “Goodfella,” was just released on Deep Dark and Dangerous’ Decade Pt. 1 and also marked his first premiere on the legendary imprint UKF. Wraz recently unveiled his Nature of the Game EP with PAV4N and Snowy, followed by the Natural Selection EP with PAV4N. Let’s dive into their new bone-crushing track “Bane” featuring vocals from Grim Sickers.
“Bane” is the next collision course for this duo, following their recent nine-track LP Cloak & Dagger, combining the elements of deep dubstep and riddim, which developed into a profound and fresh sound for both artists. “Bane” is a further testament to how these two can create a heavy-hitting behemoth together, perfectly juxtaposed by Grim Sickers’ jarring verses. The haunting melody completes the track and creates the dubious deep dubstep atmosphere that fans keep chasing. This track has already been turning heads after iconic electronic artists Mala and Skream played it out to a packed Boiler Room crowd.
Within this release is also a remix by Hypho, one of the co-founders of Manuka Records, which delivers a proper UK dubstep spin on “Bane”. Hypho gives Grim Sickers another mystifying bassline to deliver his brutal lyricism on, giving the true heads another masterpiece.
If you are looking to catch a Wraz or MYTHM set ASAP, you can catch Wraz in Edmonton and Calgary with Stylust on March 7th and 8th. He’ll also be opening for Engima Dubz in Belleville, Michigan March 15th. MYTHM will be throwing down as direct support for Zeke Beats in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 1st.
