There aren’t many artists pushing boundaries the way HerShe is right now. Her blending of beatboxing, bass-heavy production, and vocal looping creates something that’s both electrifying and entirely her own. HerShe’s latest single, “Hit Maker”, captures that energy in full. It is bouncy, bold, and built for the stage.

Catapulting HerShe’s musical journey, she began making waves early on as a beatboxer. She placed fifth at the World Beatbox Championships. But she didn’t stop there. HerShe eventually integrated her rhythmic chops with a passion for EDM production, thrusting herself into the electronic scene. In the past, she has worked with huge labels like Wakaan, Deadbeats, and REZZ’s Hypnovizion. She’s also shared the stage with some of the most exciting names in the game: Zeds Dead, Hamdi, Of The Trees, Nero, beatboxer Honeycomb, Smoakland, TVBOO, and Wreckno. Similarly to Wreckno, HerShe uses her platforms to speak louder than the music alone, creating space for expression, belonging, identity, and representation for all.

In summer 2025, HerShe has been lighting up stages across the U.S., touring cross country from LA to Milwaukee, Nashville to Denver, and most recently St. Pete. Most notably, she just made her Red Rocks debut for Deadrocks, Zeds Dead’s two-day Red Rocks Amphitheatre takeover, for its eleventh year. If you missed those shows, you’ve still got a shot to catch her at Summer’s End Smokeout 2025 this August in Michigan. Her banger, “Run That Shit Back,” showcases her rapping skills and versatility, accompanied by thick 808s and a munchy bassline. More recently, she released “Lights Out” , collaborating with Jawsen. Just like her newest track “Hit Maker,” HerShe’s signature thick bass and vocal chops are ever apparent in the thumping tune “Lights Out”.

“Hit Maker” is an impactful track in HerShe’s creative journey. Here’s what she had to say about her newest release:

“I made “Hit Maker” because I wanted to pay homage to my old beatbox track and create a clean, epic transition from my beatboxing back into DJing. The last thing I say during my set is: ‘What you heard about me? I’m the bad, I’m the bad bitch you wanna be, HerShe hittem with the hittem with the—’ and then “Hit Maker” hits. The crowd eats it up every time.” – HerShe

This single pays tribute to the soundscape from her 2018 World Beatboxing Championship performance. I urge you to watch the YouTube video from her  Red Rocks performance and see how fluidly she transitions from ripping it beatboxing to her new song “Hit Maker” (which starts twenty-six minutes into the video).

HerShe’s distinct vocal looping style shines bright “Hit Maker.” She loops, chops up, and layers the chorus, “There goes a hit maker,”  to create great energy through the whole release. Early in the track, the chopped chorus is introduced. Hi-hats build tension before the kick crashes through. The soundscape thins, and the chorus loop lingers alone, making space for the first rotating bassline. Toward the end, she brings in a classic call-and-response, stacking the vocals that dance between synths and thick low-end. The outro zips out, fading into suspended synths that float the melody to rest.
