The brand new Fearless EP transports listeners into three unique, unexplored sonic realms, revealing a side of A Hundred Drums we’ve never heard before. With each track of the Fearless EP, the LA-native producer weaves three different auditory tales, blending genre-bending soundscapes with her passion for crispy production.

Here is what A Hundred Drums had to say about her new Fearless EP:

“My first release on Cyclops was a remix of Flute Dub! Fun fact: that track actually made it onto Billboard’s Top 100, coming in at #100 for a couple of days! It was such a surreal moment to land on the Billboard charts, especially with a remix of a track by one of my biggest inspirations. Now, it feels like the perfect time to return to the label with my next EP. Big love to Cyclops and the entire Subtronics team for the continued support!” – A Hundred Drums

The first track of the Fearless EP, “Out of Time”,  lures us into the EP’s initial realm of sound with a spellbinding flute solo elevated by precise lyricsism, setting the stage for the building crescendo. As “Out of Time”  reaches the optimal boiling point, A Hundred Drums lets loose a series of varying sub-shaking reverb guaranteed to scratch your bass-hungry needs. The airy grace of the flute melody, accompanied by the flowing wordplay, together establish the piece’s strong foundation, which A Hundred Drums skillfully crafts her sonic experience around.

Following “Out of Time,’” the track “Fearless” bubbles to the surface next on the EP, as A Hundred Drums infuses it with rich reggae-inspired grooves. The track’s interlude leans on the soulful harmony to set the stage for her percussive rendition of dancehall style. The further we step into this second track of the EP, the more A Hundred Drums slowly injects her specialty brand of bass into the track’s soul. As “Fearless” builds to its crescendo, the gravitational pull toward the dancefloor becomes undeniable, driven by a deep, funky low-end drop. A Hundred Drums keeps the momentum alive, stacking layer upon layer of infectious rhythm and unrelenting groove throughout the rest of the track.

For the final piece of the Fearless EP, “Bring in the Noise” introduces us to a clash between the realms of heavy riddim and A Hundred Drums’ personal stylings of dubstep. A Hundred Drums finds the perfect sweet spot between both sound styles, resulting in an undeniably groovy new strain of riddim. From start to finish, the unconventional melody tiptoes across our eardrums as A Hundred Drums layers “Bring in the Noise” with the quirkiest sounds in her arsenal. The entire track is a highly explosive cocktail waiting for detonation at the nearest function.

A Hundred Drums’ Fearless EP is a powerful testament to her unmatched ability to blend classic rhythms with modern bass music, creating a sonic landscape that is both immersive and invigorating. Each track is a chapter of its own, taking listeners on a journey through hypnotic beats, infectious grooves, and unexpected sound combinations.

From the opening allure of “Out of Time” to the dancefloor-ready “Fearless” and the explosive chaos of “Bring in the Noise,” A Hundred Drums’ latest work further solidifies her as a force to be reckoned with in the world of rhythmic bass. With her raw energy, visionary sound, and relentless drive to push the boundaries of what music can be, A Hundred Drums is an absolute phenom. Fearless isn’t just an EP; it’s a declaration. The rhythm has returned.
