Angelo Tursi aka Dorfex Bos is a product of the early 2000s west coast bass scene. His music is largely freeform and experimental. Anyone will have a difficult time trying to stamp a genre on his discography.

When it comes to humble artists who consistently show how much they love their fans, Dorfex Bos comes directly to mind. After Bassnectar’s NYE 360 in Louisville this year, he waited at the door to hug and thank his fans personally. Beyond being an incredible artist, Dorfex Bos is an excellent human.

Patches., formerly known as Patches O’Malley has been making noise in Colorado for quite some time. The two of these mad scientists got into the same laboratory and crafted up something special. Their new track, “Is It So”, hit the airways earlier this week. When it comes to sound design, these two don’t mess around. The clarity and fullness of this track create an emotional atmosphere that is absent in most bass releases these days.

This new soundscape comes to us via Austin, Texas-based record label, Gravitas Recordings.

“Making this track with @yoPatches_ was one of the most seamless collabs I’ve ever been involved with. This track is f*cking BUTTER.”

“It is a perfect mix of DREAMY and WUBBY. I wish I was hearing it at a festival RIGHT NOW surrounded by all my friends and loved ones, old and new… sweet warm air blowing in our hair, a bag of wine being passed around. Oh well, dancing in my underwear in my bedroom will have to suffice, for now.” – Dorfex Bos
