Mersiv Sound Project has quickly risen to the upper echelon of Bass music in the past few years. His dark and boisterous sound has made him a fan favorite within this ever expanding Bass music community. Last week, he released his infectious downtempo single “Osmosis”. Between that and his Wakaan assisted collaboration EP, alongside Fryar, Mersiv has been cranking them out recently. But he isn’t stopping there.
Yesterday, Mersiv surprised us with an all-new EP, just in time for spooky season. The “Hypnos” EP is a two-part single including a VIP mix, standing for ‘variation in production’. His recent releases have provided playful and restorative energy. However, Mersiv has delivered a more ominous tone with the “Hypnos” EP. Diving deep into dark, hypnotic undertones, Mersiv amplifies his dark side.
“Hypnos” begins with the eery emergency broadcast tone. Rapid, penetrating synths, now a staple in his production, penetrate without warning. Mersiv’s dynamic and versatile production talent is on display big time in this EP. He takes a different approach to “Hypnos” in the VIP mix, aka the ‘Martian Mix’. This rendition takes a heavier, balls to the wall approach to the already hypnotic tune.
Earlier today, through his Morflo Records imprint, Mersiv is teaming up with GATZB for an epic new collab. “Dí a De Los Muertos” is a wub fueled soundscape that’s the perfect add to any Bass fans playlists.
Mersiv is really blessing us with heat right now! The last few releases have shown us just how much range his production covers. We’ve seen uplifting party bangers, soothing downtempo, and hypnotizing heaters. Let us know which was your favorite below, in the comments!
