Russ Liquid does a beautiful job fusing Funk and Soul music with those filthy bass-fueled wubs we all love oh so much. The multi-talented producer appeared on Liquid Stranger‘s Wakaan label in 2018 for his Eclectric EP and then performed at the inaugural Wakaan festival the next year.

He’s also worked with the likes of Manic Focus, GRiZ, and Opiou, just to name a few, and has become a staple of the funky-bass sub-genre/community.

Today, Russ Liquid is taking on a dancefloor classic. Missy Elliot’s “Get UIr Freak On” has been reworked and remixed hundreds of times, but today’s just feels special. This filth-fueled take on the original is the perfect collision of groove and grime. It’s sure to have you making gross bass-face throughout the whole listen.
