Distinct Motive remains a force to be reckoned with, and after an impressive 2023, his production prowess is even more evident. The previous year saw him unleash one of the most sought-after, viral, festival IDs, a track that echoed through shows across the states, embraced by both him and other deeper artists alike. With the previous year in the rearview and the year of 2024 fresh in the air, Distinct Motive is ready to give a name to ‘that one ID’ on his brand new two-track EP, Mellow Man.

The grip of “Mellow Man” on the dubstep community was undeniable over the past year, and now the track has seen the light of day, finding a home on Zeds Dead‘s Deadbeats label as their inaugural release of the year. Adding to the excitement, Distinct Motive treats fans to yet another gem, “Claw” – a spicy tune brimming with signature elements that is guaranteed to set the dance floor ablaze.

Of course, we all know “Mellow Man” by now, with its infectious, syncopated rhythm and deep, hard-hitting melodies, intertwined among distinct elements. It’s the quintessential sound system tune that heads crave and one that gets a crowd moving in a shared passionate excitement overcoming the dancefloor.

Kicking off 2024 with the release of these two filthy tracks, especially one that was kept so well under wraps over the last year, this EP is undoubtedly setting the stage for yet another remarkable year for the Distinct Motive project. He’ll be performing at the legendary Virginia Beach venue alongside legendary names like Skream, Rusko, Jade Cicada, and many more talented producers.
