This past Saturday, Skrillex was one of many big names to hit the stage at EDC Japan. The festival, which ran May 11-May 12, is known to be unique, displaying world-class stages, fireworks, and costumed performers. Skrillex took advantage of his heavy-hitting set by packing in tons of songs throughout his discography; most importantly, he threw in some tracks from his upcoming EP with Boys Noize.
Skrillex and Boys Noize have teamed up for their 4-track Dog Blood EP. It is scheduled to be released on May 31st, as announced on twitter, and will be featuring some currently unnamed special guests. This is the first EP by the duo since Middle Finger Pt. 2 in 2013. They released “Turn Off The Lights” in March, one of the tracks on the upcoming EP, featuring detuned synths, reggae vocals, and garage-inspired beats.
