If you’re looking to refresh your playlists with some new experimental bass talent, then the System Reboot Remixed album is the project for you to start your week with. This thirst-quenching compilation reimagines the full-length musical journey released by Lucid Vision earlier this year featuring remixes from extraordinary producers including Lil Fish, Spelt Weird, Mfinity, Jennykat, and many more.

Lucid Vision is a visionary artist, as his name might suggest, intending to spread light through sound and leave his audiences feeling inspired. Fusing glitch-hop, hybrid trap, melodic bass, and many other forms of electronic music, this unique creator has developed a signature sound that has shaken the loudest of sound systems and even blessed renowned venues such as Red Rocks. His dedication and undeniable skills have also landed him official releases alongside musical luminaries, Manic Focus, Maddy O’Neal, Kraddy of The Glitch Mob, and Cofresi, just to name a few.

Opening up to new realms and possibilities, Lucid Vision recruited a massive list of genre-bending artists with different transcendental styles for the System Reboot Remixed album. Ranging from softer, melodic soundscapes from Luminyst and MR.MR. to high-energy breakbeats and hip-hop funk thrown down by Nyquist and MIDicinal, these stimulating flips enhance the originals and each one leaves listeners at the edge of their seats.

With a heavier drum and bass take on the track, “Glimpse Of A Vision,” Spelt Weird cooks up groovy, distorted production with heavenly vocals to deliver a remix made to ignite the dance floor. Spelt Weird is a mold-breaking mastermind taking the Denver local scene by storm. This inventive tune is a testament to his growth, genre exploration, and ever-evolving sonic approach to bass music.

Enhancing the tune, “Burning Bridges,” Moon Lotus layers deep freeform and emotive sound design onto the original. Adding a celestial spark to the initial version, this captivating Utah-based artist is best known for writing and creating thought-provoking auditory odysseys ranging from downtempo to botanical bass to just downright untraditional and heavy. His ethereal instrumentation and craftsmanship have found him playing alongside other bass music virtuosos like Opiuo, Josh Teed, and AHEE.

Speeding it up with a brutal trap undertone, Mfinity gets us lost in introspection with his version of “One More Time With You.” Coming fresh off the Microworlds tour with the musical geniuses CloZee and Daily Bread, this up-and-comer is crashing through the experimental scene while sculpting his own entrancing, hypnotic sound. His Where Time Goes EP is an atmospheric barrage of vibrant beats and paradisical dreamscapes that showcase his production prowess and unparalleled gifts for music making.

We can’t stop listening to this cutting-edge project and a genre-defying assortment of remixes. Lucid Vision curated a flawless contrast and collection of creators that seamlessly carry fans through a myriad of genres and explorations. Here’s what he had to say about the album:

“I’ve already been playing out some of these tracks in recent live shows, and it’s been fun to create “live edits” of these remixes – with either added on vocal acapellas, or live guitar played on top. It’s been awesome to vibe with these artists creatively, and bounce these musical ideas back and forth. I’ve also had the chance to start some other collaborations with a few of the artists, and I’m excited for these new relationships to be long lasting.” – Dalton Kieta (Lucid Vision)
