Located on the CU Boulder campus, the planetarium has supported advancements in audio-visual arts and projection for years, making it a prime place to explore and inspire. That’s just why the pioneering Shakedown Productions crew is partnering with the Fiske team to bring a revolutionary live A/V experience to the dome joined by prodigious musical and visual artists including 3420, Papa Bear, ikuma, Mr. Lang, and Kaonashi.
The 65-foot-diameter dome holds 200 seats in arcing rows that align under a fully encompassing 8K resolution projection screen, perfectly arranged for viewing at any angle. Paired with a built-in 7.1 channel surround sound system, this gathering of visionary talents and transcendental production is sure to expand consciousnesses and take the breath away of attendees.
The event will be held for four hours in total, with music playing for three, and 30 minutes will be given before and after the show for guests to enter and leave the planetarium. Intending to reinvigorate live events, The Shakedown Productions team is accomplishing its goal, curating the most unique and unprecedented experiences for Colorado music lovers and the grass-roots community.
With hopes of throwing multiple of these awe-inspiring Fiske shows throughout the year, Shakedown Productions is constantly evolving, setting new standards, and broadening the possibilities of audience experiences. In preparation for the first otherworldly A/V journey, we broke down the thrilling lineup of the inventive artists and vibrant VJs performing. Check them out below and get your tickets here.

3420
Just up the road in the mountainous town of Fort Collins lives the wondrous electronic music band, 3420. Fusing instrumental improvisation and bass with a collage of different genres, this trio puts listeners through whimsical emotional states, evoking sensations with their enlightening soundscapes and feel-good jamtronica. Working with a multitude of legendary names such as Papadosio, Dirtwire, CloZee, Ternion Sound, K.L.O, and Sunsquabi, this flourishing trifecta is striking chords in the scene and we can’t wait to witness them bless their auditory art form at the planetarium.
Papa Bear
Transcending the ordinary with his cryptic imagination, Papa Bear is a breakthrough VJ and animator from North Carolina sculpting eye-opening visualizations that stimulate the brain. His recent display and collaboration of visuals at TipperNFriends’ Rendezvous this year melted the crowd on Sunday, showcasing his experimental artistic craft and hypnotizing vision. Papa Bear will be pairing with 3420 to headline the Fiske event, enveloping viewers into cyberspace with his abstract designs and wormholes of colorful palettes.
ikuma
Psychedelic textures and deep frequencies intertwine to create an atmosphere of sonic exploration that is the ikuma sound. Born in Havana, Cuba, this Florida-based producer heightens perceptions with his underground ambient style and dark downtempo flare. With a strong jazz influence and a degree in musical production, this refreshing creator is not one to miss.
FLOSO
Colorado native FLOSO got his introduction into the visual art universe through photography. Capturing his surroundings of mountains and night skies, this local utilizes his keen eye for the beauty in nature to create mesmeric scenes that transport viewers through metaphysical planes. By blending science, technology, and nature, FLOSO exemplifies the interconnectedness of the world in his digital artistry. With his projections ranging from seamless, elegant dreamscapes to radiant kaleidoscope patterns, this artist’s storytelling takes you on a thought-provoking voyage created live right before your eyes.
Mr. Lang
Also hailing from Colorado, Mr. Lang engrosses listeners with his intricate sound design with layers of driving basslines that tickle the cognitive senses. Whether performing at an intimate venue or a commanding festival stage, this artist guides crowds through iridescent soundscapes and flow states. With liquifying production and ground-breaking techniques, this highly-anticipated Mr. Lang set would be a crime to miss.
Kaonashi
Carving his futuristic artistry from scratch, this Denver-based creator projects polychromatic holograms and 3D landscapes that transport viewers across the NFT space. Creating entrancing exhibitions in his visuals, Kaonashi has made huge waves in the VJ sphere and is just getting started unveiling his creative excellence.
