Neumonic Continues To Prove He's Not To Be Slept On With UKG EP "This Ones Nawty" On Morii Records

For those who don’t know the name Neumonic yet, it’s time to get familiar. This California boy has a burning love for those sweet UKG sounds, and continues to push them here in the States. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch a set from him, you know just what we’re talking about.

The energy he brings to his sets is addictive, and it’s clear when looking out at the crowd and seeing the dance floor on fire with movement to his killer track selections. Neumonic continues to push himself forward and gain much-deserved attention along the way. He’s released a handful of genres over the years and now is back with his latest, a UKG EP you need to hear.

Recently, the tastemaker debuted on ENiGMA Dubz‘ imprint, Morii Records with “Nawty,” the first single off his brand-new EP, This One’s Nawty. This was also the label’s first release with another artist, that was not ENiGMA Dubz or his itona project (so some big ups all around are in order).

The track “Nawty“ with London crew Sakawah Boys has been popping off in sets lately, being rinsed by artists like Hamdi, Gentlemens Club, SHOSH on her Kiss FM show, and of course, the label head himself, ENiGMA Dubz. It’s a spicy little number with a bassline that immediately makes you want to get up and move, that, paired with the powerhouse MC’s, make this one extra naughty. It’s no wonder it’s gained so much attention, and we know the whole EP will only continue that tenfold.

“Nawty has been going off in my sets and is definitely a long awaited style for my project. As an American pushing UK Garage I play so much music with British MCs and make loads of bootlegs and mashups with vocals, but have never actually had a full original with MCs on a track.

I’ve been a big fan of Sakawah Boys for a while, and I love their sound and overall fun vibe they approach to their project. Releasing this one on a UK label was crucial in my eyes, and truly is the US/UK connection I’ve been working toward. Thrilled to have an official collaboration with these legends, and look forward to more of this in the future for Neumonic” – NEUMONIC

The rest of the EP includes tracks “Makes Me,” “Wicked,” and “Reborn,” each one showing off the range Neumonic has alongside his ability to create sounds that pay homage to the beloved UKG. Being from the states, it’s always such a pleasure seeing artists out here love all the incredible sounds that come from the UK and that have influenced so many in their journey over the years. Neumonic certainly stays keeping that love alive, all while giving fans a lesson in music history.
