The collaboration you didn’t know you needed has arrived. Hydraulix and Chef Boyarbeatz just released “Rudeboi” on Insomniac’s Bassrush label. This deep dubstep track starts with a quick build-up and a hypnotic vocal cue, then promptly launches into noxious wobbly bass. The tune is a nonstop journey, oscillating in every direction with all paths leading to head-banging vibes. “Rudeboi” is a slapper, with an ever-present bassline that is full of galvanizing energy.
Hydraulix, a producer from Sydney, has made quite a name for himself in the bass music scene. Prior to dropping “Rudeboi”, he had huge collaborations with artists like Doctor P, NITTI, Ookay, YOOKiE, and many more. He has performed at notable music festivals like Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Rampage: Belgium, and Electric Zoo NYC, as well as being a part of both the initial Never Say Die and Wakaan rosters when each label exploded.
Chef Boyabeatz has made a huge impact in the underground bass music world since the early 2020s. He has released monstrous tunes on a variety of impressive dubstep labels including Deep, Dark, and Dangerous, Deadbeats, and Bassrush. Chef B gained an insane amount of buzz in 2022, when his track “Steady Slurkin’” was one of the most viral dubstep tracks of the year. Since then, Chef Boyarbeatz has made iconic appearances at Infrasound, Okeechobee, and Insomniac’s Apocalypse festival, as well as dozens more festivals. Don’t miss out on his 2026 tour!
