The Chainsmokers often face a lot of criticism from people claiming that they only make pop music now and that they are too mainstream. And in a way, they’re right. “Siren” starts off as a basic electro-pop song before dropping into a screechy, squeaky Aazar fueled drop.

But I don’t think this a bad thing! The production quality is great, as you would expect from a chart dominating music group, and the song lures you in with a chill intro before taking it to 11. The Chainsmokers know what they’re doing when making music, and their attention to detail shows on every aspect of the song. Aazar takes the base they created and blows it up, sending this song off the deep end.
