Rising star OAKK is back with a doubleheader heater EP dubbed “Gimme That“. This young protege has attracted the attention of bass music dons Ivy Lab, supporting them at countless shows over the past months. He even had the opportunity to spin a guest mix for the Ivy Lab SiriusXM Takeover. OAKK threw down heavy at DEF Global in Atlanta and is set to have a huge year playing shows with the likes of Black Carl!, Player Dave, and tons more. With the amount of talent he possesses, it’s only up from here for OAKK, and we can’t wait to see him reach the stars.

The title track, “Gimme That,” is a heavy one that is sure to strike a chord with trap fans. Rinsed by Wreckno at Gem & Jam Festival this past weekend, this track absolutely lights up the dancefloor. Here’s what he had to say about it:

“A simple, yet effective club shaker thats main priority is to not be taken too seriously… I’ve had this one in the vault for a minute now, but I think it’s time to release it out into the world !!” – OAKK

The track features deep vocals that compliment the heavy bassline. Eerie chimes at the beginning lead into the melody, comprised of a subdued trap beat supported by female chorusing in the background. It has a dark dancefloor vibe that melds together with perfection. It is the perfect partner to the second track, “Bota,” that further builds off of these vibes.

Featured on last year’s “r/trap – BOOST TAPE”, “Bota” is another booty-shaking anthem. At a slightly higher tempo than the previous track, this one bubbles through listeners’ ears before digging its heels into that filthy wonky bass. The vocal melody leads into a vibey bridge and a bouncy beat sews the whole thing together with perfection. Both tracks go hard and are sure to thrill fans just as well!
