21 Savage has been relatively quiet in 2018 (unless you count his verse on his Cardi B collab, I don’t). Today, the Atlanta MC brings us a brand new album titled I Am > I Was. Savage fumbled the release of this album a couple times over the month of December, but on December 21st, his highly anticipated new project is finally here.
21 Savage isn’t always one to recruit others for his work, always delivering a flow that is catchy and consistent. 21’s got bars and ad-libs that could fuel a twenty track album on his own, but for I Am > I Was, the Slaughter Gang captain recruits some of the biggest names in Rap music.
Features on the new fifteen track album include the likes of Post Malone, Gunna, Lil Baby, Schoolboy Q, and production from rap behemoths like Southside, TM88, and of course Metro Boomin. The new project also includes features from two unlikely names for Savage to collab with; J. Cole and Childish Gambino.
21 Savage took a big step for himself on this new project. The more hits he cranks out, the more he sets himself apart from the “New Wave” rappers he infiltrated the game alongside just a couple years back. Also, supposedly, Travis Scott is still uploading a featured verse to the album. Check out the new massive release below!
