Cookie Monsta’s newest banger, “The Witch Hunt”, is Dubstep perfection. This old school UK style track has an addicting bassline with unique sound design. Not over complicated, just Dubstep in its purest form.
This new release comes with some unfortunate news for U.S. fans of Cookie Monsta. Due to some struggles with his mental health, the Dubstep don will be taking an indefinite hiatus from touring and festival slots. Which means all of his appearances on Circus’ celebratory 10-year anniversary tour will be canceled.
“For the past year, I’ve been struggling with mental health issues, over the recent weeks and months this has become harder than ever. I’ve not been online recently as I’ve been trying to work through my problems away from the glare of social media. Unfortunately, I’ve not made as much progress as I’d hoped, so I’ve decided that I need to take a longer break from the scene. With a heavy heart, I have to tell you that I’ll not be performing at any of my forthcoming shows, including my appearances on the Circus 10 Years Tour. I will continue making and releasing music, beyond that I look forward to being back out to see you soon when I’m better.” – Cookie Monsta
Those shows will still be a blast, with huge fellow Circus acts like Funtcase, Flux Pavillion, Doctor P, Conrank, DMVU, Chime, and many more. Health should always be a priority, and sadly, not everyone realizes that your mental wellbeing is just as much a part of that. We are sending good vibes over to Cookie Monsta.
