Norwegian DJ Kygo has already had plenty of success in 2019. After landing a massive streaming hit with “Think About You“ featuring Valerie Broussard, he teamed up with Rita Ora on “Carry On” for the Pokémon Detective Pikachu soundtrack. Maintaining his streak of hits, the global hitmaker has just released his third single of the year called “Not Ok,” a bright, danceable breakup anthem featuring Chelsea Cutler that’s sure to be blasting in your car speakers all summer.

Chelsea Cutler, a Connecticut-based producer and singer, is known for her emotionally-charged version of Indie Pop, racking up tons of streams with her impressive body of work; her originals on “brent” and her two part album Sleeping With Roses have amassed global support, building up her rapidly expanding fan base. Chelsea recently signed with Republic Records so we can assume that she’s going to be collaborating with big names in the future.

“Not Ok” is a melancholic masterpiece, combining Kygo’s signature piano’s with Cutler’s enchanting and delicate vocals. Cutler’s lyrics tell a story of a numbing pain, but Kygo’s production promises a better tomorrow. Cutler’s heartbroken lyrics followed by Kygo’s euphoric drop shed summer-sounding vibes.
