Following his popular EP Goofball, English music producer Moody Good (Eddie Jefferys) finally made his debut on Zeds Dead‘s record label, Deadbeats, last week with a new dubstep track, “Bite Your Lip”. Jefferys was formerly one half of the legendary duo 16bit, but after making his solo debut in 2014, he has consistently challenged electronic music standards. Throughout the years, he has been perfecting his signature sound–a balance between hard-hitting, heavy bass and hypnotic, captivating melodies. His music has been a staple in the bass music scene for almost a decade.

His new single “Bite Your Lip” is a heavy-hitting, rail-moving track, complex in both sound design and aesthetic, and takes dubstep music to a whole new level for electronic music fans this summer. The track starts off calm with an interesting mixture of sounds, providing a dark and hypnotizing trip-hop feel. The rap vocals then give it a rugged urban feel and prepare listeners for the brutal drop involving a deep bassline and snarling synths. “Bite Your Lip” fuses together trip-hop, rap, dubstep, and experimental bass through eclectic bass sounds, warped vocals, and haunting choruses, creating an impressive single to add to his already stacked discography.
