Becoming well-known as the home of weird and wonderful exploratory bass music, to say Liquid Stranger‘s Wakaan label has been thriving would be a massive understatement. The Wakaan team is bringing the inaugural edition of the Wakaan Music Festival to Ozark, AR’s Mulberry Mountain and we couldn’t be more excited.

The massive lineup brings not only some of the most exciting names in modern Dubstep like Rusko,  Subtronics, Boogie T, Dirt MonkeyPeekaboo, and of course, long time Wakaan member Space Jesus, but also legendary and esteemed Glitch-Hop and Livetronica acts like Koan SoundOtt, Manic Focus, and more.

Label boss Liquid Stranger has two *official* sets on the schedule, one Thursday night and one Saturday night, but it’s hard to believe he won’t pop up throughout the festival a couple more times.

In honor of the WMF’s first year, we put together top-five lists for each day of the fest. Definitely in no particular order and it’s really hard to narrow this down to five a day because this lineup is so jam-packed with talent.

The good thing is, Wakaan Festival will only feature one stage, so conflicts should be absolutely no problem. That is until late night (2-7am) sets begin, which feature high-profile takeovers — KursaThe WiddlerThe Trifinity (ft. YhetiToadface, & Mt. Analog), MesoSpace Wizard and many more take the festival by storm with takeovers from Sub.Mission, Sermon Nation, and Spicy Boiz.

The main stage, Aura Stage, and late-night stage, Chakra Stage, will be powered by PK Sound loudspeakers and the Jaenga Bus, Halo Stage, will be powered by Hennessey Sound loudspeakers.

We have also included a playlist that covered every single artist on the lineup’s initial drop, check that out below!
