Montreal-based helmet-wearing electronic trio Black Tiger Sex Machine (Marc-André Chagnon, Julien Maranda and Patrick Barry) collaborated with the masked Atlanta-based bass producer duo ATLiens on Frequencies”, out now on BTSM’s imprint Kannibalen Records. “Frequencies” is the third track on BTSM’s untitled upcoming EP and follows “Time Travel” with Blanke and the cyberpunk-inspired “Let’s Get It”.

“Frequencies” is a sci-fi-inspired track that sounds like a deep-space battle, conjuring up images of distant forces battling for control of a galaxy. Dramatic choir vocals and low-end synths build up suspense, leading into a stylistically groundbreaking drop that’s dark and sleek. It’s a must-listen for experimental bass lovers.

While currently on separate headlining tours, both BTSM and ATLiens have been incorporating the cinematic track into live shows, and have received massive crowd buzz in return. “Frequencies” will compliment BTSM’s 48-show tour’s hybrid concert and movie experience, set in a post-apocalyptic world with specially commissioned visuals. Their Futuristic Thriller Tour features ApasheBlankeKai WachiLSDream, and Vampa. Be sure to catch them on tour at one of the shows listed below if you haven’t already:
