A few weeks back, Hybrid Trap producer Montell2099 released a brand new single, “Stars”, off of RL Grime‘s relatively new record label Sable Valley. He followed the first single up with another offering to Sable Valley, a darker tune titled “Burna”.

Today, the New Zealand producer is bringing out all the stops for his debut EP. Montell has worked with huge names in the past, ranging from Hip-Hop superstar 21 Savage to Trap tastemakers QUIX and UZ.

He also has provided official remixes for the likes of Diplo, Trippie Redd, RL Grime, Jeremih, Tory Lanez, Netsky, and more, and has even had industry legend Mr.Carmack remix his own original!

On his brand new “Forces” EP, Montell2099 brings absolute madness. Showing off his production prowess with each invigorating track, this new project is sure to see tons of love throughout the Trap and Bass worlds throughout the rest of the year, especially with that RL Grime collab. Check out what Montell had to say about the new project below!

“Let me start by saying a big shout out to the team at Sable and Henry (RL GRIME) for supporting some of my art and getting behind it. I feel like Sable has been a huge breath of fresh air in the electronic music landscape and getting to be apart of that is really special. This EP “Forces”  represents evolution and progression, not only in my music but also for myself. I struggled with writer’s block a couple times throughout the past year which was really weird for me, I’m so used to always being inspired and motivated that when I wasn’t, I kind of felt lost. Mix that with life then you have a bit of a shit show lol. But with the help of people around me and Henry giving some guidance with the music I pushed through and made some of the most meaningful and forward-thinking music I believe I’ve made so far. It really made me realize that everything happens for a reason! Thank all of you for continuing to support me and my art! I’m so excited for this new chapter, I hope this EP means as much to you guys as it means to me.”Montell2099
