RÜFÜS DU SOL is a name that requires little introduction by now. The Australian dance trio has platformed globally to the tune of ARIA & Grammy acclaim across three impressive albums since 2013.

Achieving so many accolades left few wholly “new” ventures for the international showstoppers, but the trio insists on innovating – this time with their third ever remix!

While success has become familiar for RÜFÜS DU SOL, the widespread audience came from a collaborative effort. The group released the following statement about their growth in accordance with the founding of their independent label Rose Avenue:

“We’ve been in the position where we made an album we loved – Bloom – and had no label in North America to release it except for our buddies Odesza. They backed us, got our album out there and played a huge part in building our fan base outside Australia. We are forever grateful to them for that. We want to return the favor and give artists that we love and believe in that platform. There is great music out there that people aren’t willing to take a chance on. From that idea Rose Avenue was born.”

For this reason, it seemed like a no brainer for the dance group to take a flyer on their Rose Avenue collaborators Lastlings in remixing recent single “No Time.”

The remix encapsulates the original track’s fervently infectious sound while adding plenty of stylistic spin. RÜFÜS DU SOL turns up the tempo ever so slightly while exchanging many dark, ethereal synth tones throughout the track.

An extended mix released as the B-side furthers the club-ready vibes of this banger!

“No Time (RÜFÜS DU SOL Remix)” serves not only as a unique venture for the established group but a unique opportunity for Lastlings to expand their platform. The synth pop duo bring a refined sound to the table ripe for remixes but strong and palatable in their own approach.

As RÜFÜS DU SOL deliver on their intentions for Rose Avenue, it is only a matter of time to see what they have in store for themselves and their collaborators – present or future. Let us know what you think of the rare remix in the comments!
