Since breaking out from the underground in 2014, ZHU has created a distinct alternate cinematic universe for his listeners to submerge themselves in. Born and raised in the Bay Area, ZHU began his sonic journey and learned how to play the piano as a child. Fast forward to 2014, ZHU dropped his debut EP The Nightday that gained him massive attention. The anonymous musician even earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Dance Recording for his breakthrough single “Faded.”

Only a couple of years after, his debut album Generationwhy would hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. With a list of impressive accolades under his belt, he has gone on to collaborate with an array of talents such as TOKiMONSTA, Tame Impala, Tinashe, Jeremih, and more.

As ZHU established himself as a musician and artist he has also passionately pursued his fascinations in fashion and gaming. He has played a hands-on and essential role in the design of his fashion-forward merch. ZHU is enthusiastic about showing the world the depth of talent hidden within the more daring corners of the electronic-music world. ZHU has also recently launched partnerships with Luminosity Gaming and Leica.

Today, ZHU is teaming up with another Bay Area local and 2020 XXL Freshman, 24kGoldn. He made his presence known within the scene in late 2019 with his Platinum debut single, “Valentino” signing to Columbia Records. Followed by an explosive success on TikTok surpassing 400 million total global audio streams, the 19-year-old showed the world his sound was universal, with the track appearing on over 40 Spotify Viral 50 lists internationally, it was only up from there for the young San Francisco artist.

The duo comes together on Astralwerks to bring “I Admit It”. The track flexes ZHU’s skills to create an otherworldly, intoxicating environment with a crisp charisma, flitting from the ethereal to the visceral and 24kGoldn’s scintillating verse. Along with the track comes an accompanying video that not only allows us to have a peek into ZHU’s cinematic universe but also an insight into his passion for his apparel projects as well as an announcement. ZHU announced his November 13 fan exclusive I Admit It fashion show advance screening, which will take place in downtown Los Angeles.

The event will also include a never before seen Blacklizt set. A limited number of passes are available for advance screening. Attendees will be selected in a random drawing. Fans can submit their names HERE and can find all COVID protocols that will be enforced at the event.
