I’ve written before about how impactful personal music has been. ‘Shelter Me’ is that type of music. This track that discusses themes of relationships, working through the tough parts, and feeling protected through it all.

Even though the track is self-described as a Future Bass hit, the song is very reminiscent of Kygo and early work from The Chainsmokers with its boppy beat and captivating vocals from Isabél Usher. This fascinated me since pronouncedyea’s previous drops have been way different. The mellow and minimal beat begins highlighting our vocalist with simple bass and snap samples. This allows the listener to focus more on the words being preached before bringing the buildup to its futuristic synthesizer-filled highpoint

Think back to pronouncedyea’s remix of THEY.’s song ‘Truth Be Told’ or his single ‘Breathe’ which have distinct Dubstep and Trap feels respectively.  I always appreciate an artist who breaks their own mold and applaud them for being able to do it well. This is the case with the Syracuse, NY natives latest collaboration with Isabél.

This song is an undeniable radio hit. I could imagine hearing this in the BPM or Diplo’s Revolution rotation on SiriusXM, laying at the beach, or at any club or apartment party. It works in several environments and I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say this track will be everywhere soon!
