Grab your bags and passports, everyone – it’s time to accompany LUZCID and Jason Leech into a mystical realm with their latest WAKAAN release, “Magic.” This collaboration serves as the lead and title track for LUZCID’s upcoming fall EP. It follows up LUZCID’s recent collaboration with label boss Liquid Stranger, “Snow Melt” – a downtempo track that was released on the sister label SSKWAN.
Dabbling outside of the bass world, LUZCID connects with enthusiasts within bass sub-genres to create a stronger community for all to celebrate. He creates a sonic masterpiece that is painted by his hip hop-esque, expansive, psychedelic bass style. A resident of Louisville, Kentucky, Jason Leech created his style by playing the piano over original remixes of his favorite songs. Through positive feedback from fans and original artists, Jason has truly created a name for himself in the industry. He also just released a track on CloZee’s new album and played Asteria music festival in Florida.
Here’s what Leech had to say about his new Wakaan release and LUZCID collab:
“Neil (LUZCID) is a really inspiring person to work with. He took an acoustic piano piece I wrote and turned it into an epic melodic bass track. It made me rethink how to approach my own music. On top of that, he’s just a great human being. He made me feel welcome to shoot over any new ideas or changes. His approach to making music is very pure, and it’s been very encouraging to work with such a top-tier producer like him. I never did a major collab before this one, but all that mattered to him was the music.” – Jason Leech
The ever-present voice of a child opens the title track – grasping the attention of those entering the realm. The styles of both artists are blended together to create a mysterious world of haunting synths and entrancing melodies.
