EYEMC is an up-and-coming DJ/producer/songwriter/rapper who has heaps of talent. The artist is connecting with the HIHF favorite Wubaholics label for his brand new EP, titled “State of Mind”. Wubaholics always does a fantastic job putting on on-the-rise production talents and we always LOVE supporting what they are doing over there.
Based out of the beautiful town of Bend, Oregon, EYEMC focuses on analog glitch art, with tons of hip-hop influences, within the ever-expanding world of electronic music. His goal in his work and his live performances is to make the listener both feel and move.
We had the pleasure of teaming up with EYEMC for the title track “State Of Mind,” a tune that brilliantly fuses his lyricism with brutal bass production. It’s sure to be a hit for both hip-hop and bass fans and a must-add to your playlists. Here’s what he had to say about his newest piece of art:
“I’ve been rapping and making beats for close to 10 years with very little success. There’s a point as a 30-year-old rapper living at his mom’s house where you gotta look in the mirror and really as “wtf am I doing with my life?” I faced that void earlier this year and it almost took me out of the game for good.
I decided to say FUCK THAT because I really believe this music is what I came here to do, and I believe I have something genuine and fresh to offer. This track is me making the choice to believe in myself 100% and just keep pushing forward no matter what. I hope if you listen it inspires you to do the same!” – EYEMC
