Bass Temple is an artist we have shined a lot of light on here at HIHF. This rising star artist weaves deep primordial bass into cosmic melodic loops, raising the vibrations within all of her sonic soundscapes. She has contributed to the HIHF guest mix series in the past as well, you can check that out here.

Today, she is teaming up with 18 Hands, an artist whose goal is to not just make your body move but also your mind. His stylings are derived from his decades of practice in Kung Fu and his name is a reference to the traditional teachings of the 18 Hands of Luohan.

On their new collab, “Catabasis”, they are fusing their frequencies for an absolute voyage of a track. Out now through The Gradient Perspective, “Catabasis” is a filthy, distorted dubstep tune that’s certain to melt faces. This one is just GROSS. It’s another reminder of the future Bass Temple holds ahead of her and we can’t wait to see what’s next from both her and 18 Hands!

Here’s what Bass Temple had to say about the new tune:

“Catabasis” is a journey through the underworld. The inspiration for this track is an introspective journey into the depths of oneself, and coming back through the other side.” – Bass Temple

The bass faces are definitely coming out when this one drops this festival season! What did you think of “Catabasis?” Let us know your thoughts on the newest work from Bass Temple and 18 Hands below.
