The newest release through Gravitas Recordings comes from Woofax & Willdabeast with their groovy “Watching The World Go By” EP, out today. The four-track EP serves up a fun dose of live music combined with sweet bass, blending genres for a funk-fueled treat.

Woofax is a writer, producer, and performer, previously working as the mastermind behind acts like Terravita and Hot Pink Delorean. Willdabeast are a production duo known for their instrumentation and funky bass. Willdabeast are one of the premier horn acts in bass music, alongside other brass wizards like GRiZ, Russ Liquid, Big Gigantic, Brasstracks, and The Shady Horns. They have shared the stage with Michal Menert, Opiuo, The Floozies, Sunsquabi, and many more fan favorites here at HIHF. Today’s EP follows Willdabeast’s album titled ‘Superhighway Afterglow,’ which was released earlier this year.

This new Gravitas-assisted EP delivers a variety of euphoric sounds and live elements that will be sure to get the boogie going. “Parallel Night” opens the project by exploring instrumentation with an intoxicating flute melody over thick bass, setting the scene for the listener. Following that comes “Merely Players,” a hip-hoppy rhythmic effort featuring horns and a catchy beat. The party really gets started with “Gettin Busy” and finally “Spinners” which are two songs that include everything needed in a funky summertime anthem. The glitch-hop beauty in “Gettin Busy” and the hefty bass in “Spinners” make these tracks fresh festival-ready tunes and we can’t wait to hear them dropped come festival season.
