Monstercat has hosted some of the hottest artists in the world over their years as the premiere Canadian electronic music label. Today, they are going pro with their new track from DJ DIESEL aka Shaquille O’Neal, as he is officially their ‘biggest’ name yet! This marks DIESEL’s debut track on the esteemed label and it is in collaboration with heavy hitter dubstep producer Hairitage.

Hairitage is a rising star who deserves as much attention as possible. The bearded bass maestro has had his music played out by Skrillex and Excision since 2018 and has appeared on the dubstep scene’s hottest labels, ranging from Liquid Stranger‘s Wakaan label to Black Tiger Sex Machine‘s Kannibalen Records. Tracks of his like “The Movement,” “Hustle,” and his unreleased remix of Gorillaz’ “Feel Good Inc.” have had the scene in a chokehold lately. We are ecstatic to see Hairitage teaming up with DJ DIESEL on their new collab “Bang Your Head.”

“Bang Your Head” is set to be the first single off of DJ DIESEL’s upcoming album. With multiple festival appearances across the summer, you can be sure to see DIESEL dropping this one at Bonnaroo, Hard Summer, Outsidelands, and tons of other legendary festivals and events.

The tune starts off with a hypnotizing melody that quickly ramps up with horns and DIESEL’s iconic laugh, which could easily be from him cracking up at how absurdly fire this upcoming drop is, or maybe just thinking about a recent wisecrack he’s made towards Charles Barkley on TV.

The buildup on this banger is crispy and clean, breaking down into a diabolical drop certain to induce a mean case of bass face. Featuring absolutely filthy bass and a catchy vocal sample, as well as enough fury to knock down actual walls, this is sure to be a summer festival favorite for tons of different dubstep DJs on the scene.
