Heard It Here First

Dr. Chris Boshuizen is an Australian rocket scientist, astronaut and technologist who will be at Texas Eclipse festival in April, alongside artists, fellow scientists, healers, speakers, and performances galore. The lineup spans tons of genres, flaunting iconic names like Vulfpeck, Tipper, The Disco Biscuits, Zeds Dead, and dozens more top-tier touring acts.

Boshuizen’s musical alias is known as Dr. Chrispy, a nickname he obtained by his coworkers at  NASA. He combines modern synth-wave with progressive house stylings and released his debut album, VHS, in 2018 and has over forty releases since. On top of his musical accolades, in October 2021, he became the third Australian to go to space, flying alongside Star Trek’s legendary William Shatner, Captain Kirk himself, on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket.

He’s performed at Paris’s Palais Maillot in 2022, double-headed shows under the NASA Space Shuttles in Los Angeles and Kennedy Space Center in 2022 and 2023, and as a featured performer on the Australia House stage at Austin’s South by Southwest festival in 2022.

Ahead of the festival, Dr. Chrispy put together a very special mix highlighting some of the most exciting artists on the Texas Eclipse lineup, acts like Subtronics, Bob Moses, Big Gigantic, Paul Oakenfold, LP Giobbi, and tons more.
