Lingual recently released his new multi-genre EP Aesthetic Decadent via VEIL’s label, Street Ritual. Lingual’s productions are at an extremely high level, while also maintaining creativity and a diversity of innovative sounds. The Melbourne based artist shifts between different moods in this body of work effortlessly, going from dark and heavy to nostalgic and futuristic. Lingual has managed to tie together a huge variety of sounds and styles, while also keeping the whole project cohesive at the same time.

“Crush,” the first track off the EP, begins with a catchy melody and crescendos into a powerful bassline. He brings in modern bass sound design that bass heads know and love, and combines this with some trap and experimental influences. This track will definitely do really well on big sound systems this festival season!

The second track, “Jumpsuit Flourescent,” has more of a melodic, two-step feel at first, then transitions into another heavy bassline. This track will definitely surprise listeners in a powerful way, since it shifts into a bass house drop about halfway through.

“Salvaje” slows down the pace a little bit and has more of a tribal influence. The track is filled with lush melodies and soundscapes that will transport the listener.

“Think Of You,” the last track of the EP, starts out with a UKG beat, and brings in ethereal, atmospheric melodies certain to put you into a state of harmony.

The whole EP is an incredible body of work and we can’t wait to see what Lingual does next in his career.
