Dubstep heavy-hitter PhaseOne is back on the scene with an absolutely massive collaboration titled “SOS” with Australian Metalcore band Make Them Suffer.  Known for his frequent blends of heavy metal and bass music, Sydney-based producer PhaseOne has been a rock in the hardcore rave scene for over a decade now.  PhaseOne brings a unique edge to the table with his background as a guitar player, and has used it to build a sound that has been supported by bass music superstars like Skrillex, Excision, Kayzo, and NGHTMRE.

In addition to his major supporters, PhaseOne has had label releases on Monstercat, Excision’s Subsidia label, Borgore‘s Buygore Records, and countless others, as well as having started his own label in 2023. His imprint, Sounds of Mayhem, is currently supporting new artists with a steady stream of releases and merch. Just last week, dubstep phenom IVORY released his EP, RIOTS, on Sounds of Mayhem, and plenty more music is coming soon to the growing label.

“SOS” debuts as the lead single for PhaseOne’s upcoming sophomore album, Terranova, which drops May 30th.   His previous debut full-length album, TRANSCENDENCY, was released back in early 2019 and included major collaborations with artists like Subtronics and Periphery.  Fans have been kept at bay with singles and an EP since then, but “SOS” marks the start of an exciting new project that will keep you headbanging all year long.

This one brings out the absolute best in both artists and is absolutely walloping when it gets played out live. You can expect to hear a blend of dubstep, heavy metal, riddim, and even some DnB at a PhaseOne show. If you are into the hardcore scene and have not yet had the opportunity to catch a set, be sure to catch PhaseOne next time he is in your city.

Also, keep an ear out, PhaseOne is dropping his next single this coming Friday, April 4th.
