From beautiful melodies to filthy bass, Mersiv covers it all with his masterful sound. He has officially done it again with his new album, “444,” out now! The Denver-based DJ has become a fan favorite in the EDM community and created an army of devout ravers through multiple albums and the creation of his powerhouse record label, MorFlo Records. This release is another spectacular addition to Mersiv’s discography and creates a variety of emotions for listeners to feel through the creator’s freeform bass.

“Unlock” sets the scene for this album, using an uplifting and chills-inducing melody that prepares you to open up your mind and prepare for what is to come. The next track, “Dawn,” with ALLEYCVT and Seeka, uses ethereal vocals and euphoric bass to kick off the album with high energy and introspective vibes. “Into the Silence” with Linney follows suit, combining a beautiful chorus with Mersiv’s swirly bass, which leads perfectly into “444” with OkayJake, which takes it up a notch with a dark and crunchy bassline. This tune uses spacing and timing effectively and allows each note to hit even harder than the last, demonstrating how Mersiv and his collaborators hone endless methods of utilizing their destructive bass.

The heaviness of “444”  takes a back seat with the next track and previous single, “Stay,” with Fryar, as the hypnotic melody shines through in this soon-to-be classic. These two have teamed up for other incredible collaborations in the past, including Paradise and “In Motion,”  which are staples in Mersiv’s live show arsenal. “Looking Inward” is yet another unique piece that jabs through the melody with perplexing bass. The finale of this album, “Keep Going,”  exemplifies many facets of Mersiv’s sound by contrasting two very different drops, the first introducing fluid bass while the second quickly switching to his darker, mystical style.

The album “444” was released the same weekend as Mersiv’s return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Attack On Mars, with a stacked support lineup, including ALLEYCVT, Mr. Carmack, Lumasi, Zen Selekta, and Seth David. With the combined efforts of AKA Event Productions, Mersiv, and his Mersiv’s production team, dreams became a reality with the first-ever usage of an audio sphere sound system at Red Rocks; this cutting-edge sound technology perfectly elevates Mersiv’s sound for this phenomenal and mind-blowing show.

Mersiv’s got another huge year ahead of him at major festivals such as Electric Forest, Symmetry Festival, and Hulaween where he’ll be going b2b with Tape B. We’ve been loving “444” at HIHF and hope you have been too.
